Until all retailers can read a GS1 2D Digital Link Barcode, the transitional 2D Digital Link QR Code and UPC/EAN symbol must be used. A GS1 Standards Professional will perform a thorough analysis of a printed transitional GS1 Digital Link 2D barcode and UPC/EAN sample, and provide verification report within 3 days after receipt.
Analysis includes;
- Confirming ownership of GS1 Company Prefix
- Verifying barcodes and data are formatted and printed in accordance with the GS1 General Specification
- Validation of GS1 Digital Link syntax and confirmation of resolver pointing to designated web page
- ISO/ANSI Barcode Print Quality Analysis
- Dimension review of necessary distance between QR Code and UPC/EAN barcodes
